We have wonderful opportunity to join City Furniture's Corporate team as a Director of Facilities.

The primary function of this position is to provide the overall daily management of the CITY Furniture Facility Department. Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as well as building maintenance and construction is required. The ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, develop and maintain budgets, as well as drive results and motivate a team are required. Leadership skills such as mentoring, coaching, effective communication and an ability to think critically are essential to the position.

The Director of Facilities’ first 90 days will include a detailed new hire orientation, initial training plan, and a personalized development plan to help you reach your career goals.

Job Requirements
  • Education - Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, or Facility Management
  • 8 years of Facility experience with demonstrated record of increased responsibilities.
  • IFMA FMP or CFM Credential required or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Certifications - IFMA FMP credential required or ability to obtain within 1 year, CFM preferred. LEED GA / AP or CEM a plus.
  • Work Experience - 8-10 years of experience within industry
  • Other Requirements - Reliable transportation with valid Driver’s license

Computer Knowledge and Skills

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Work, Excel and Power Point)
  • Computer literacy
  • Proficient with CMMS
  • Proficient with Building Automation Software
  • BlueBeam, Revit or AutoCAD drafting software
  • Microsoft Project, Trello, ProCore or similar project management tools
