We have a wonderful opportunity to join our CITY Furniture Distributions Center in Tamarac and Miami. The Senior Manager of Operations will be responsible for problem-solving to reduce operational costs and increase customer satisfaction. Will conduct audits on external processes throughout the organization to identify critical defects and work cross-functionally to prevent them, eliminate waste and defects. The Senior Manager of Operations is responsible for scheduling, forecasting, and strategic planning for the department. The Senior Manager of Operations will develop and retain a strong team by creating a positive, rewarding atmosphere.

The primary function of this position is to lead the assigned Operations Warehouse Departments. This position requires an analytical approach to problem solving and cross-functional leadership across various work groups within the company. This position is responsible for ensuring operational processes are sustained and are continuously improved throughout the warehouse. This position is also responsible for audits, problem solving in an effort to aide in reducing operational costs, and increasing customer satisfaction. The Senior Manager of Operations is responsible for the department’s adherence to standard work, as well as scheduling, forecasting, and strategic planning for the department. We are looking for candidates for our Distribution Centers in South Florida, Central Florida, and the upcoming Tampa location.

Job Requirements

Work Environment Summary

Flexible 50-hour work week, Monday through Friday nights and weekends, in a large non-air-conditioned Distribution Center (warehouse).  Requiring prolonged periods of walking and standing.

Qualifications Required 

Education - Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Work Experience - Minimum of five (3) to ten (5) years of experience in Operations or related field.

Computer Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to pull data and use it to identify and solve problems 
  • Proficient use of other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive associate relations skills and ability to develop associate's skills to improve standards and morale through training and coaching
